Project Coordinator   Sureway Construction offers a fantastic opportunity to join a leading team in the construction industry. We offer a friendly, fast paced environment with plenty of room for career advancement, great benefits, and a strong team of professionals.   Sureway Construction Group of Companies is currently hiring a Project Coordinator.   Description: Reporting to the foreman, the job of the Project Coordinator is to help the project teams manage resources, information, assist with scheduling, planning meetings and project activities.   Job Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include, but are not limited to: - Reporting to the Project Manager and Superintendent, where applicable, in the day to day duties of the project’s administration. - Monitor field work, including contract work, to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, codes and safety policies. - Collect, review and approve daily time and productions and force accounts for projects. - Order materials required for project. Coordinate and order rentals as required (and/or setup PO's for rentals). - Work with job Foreman and Superintendents, ensure we are performing the work as per drawings and permits, costing the job properly. - Compile, prepare and submit monthly job progress summaries. - Perform locates and liaison with pipeline reps, etc. Ensure to have all applicable crossing agreements and permits. Ensure work is being carried out as per agreements. - Attend project coordination and owner/contractor/engineer meetings as requested or required. Provide updates to schedule, progress, and issues. - Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. - Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics. Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics. - Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required. - Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas. - Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required. - Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. - Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections. - Work with the Foreman/Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses on the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program. - Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.  Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: - A Diploma or Degree or second year co-op student in Civil Engineering or equivalent combinations of technical training plus a minimum of two years construction experience. - Proficiency and ability to learn in organizations computer systems and software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, AutoCAD. - Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company and project team in a professional manner to the client, related project staff and the community. - Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, being an independent self- starter and have time management skills. - Must display and promote a continuous regard to safety. - Valid driver’s license (non GDL). - Successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. - Ability to work in physically demanding conditions. - Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. - Excellent problem solving skills required. - Good analytical ability and manual dexterity. - Must have proven ability to work in tight spots. - Good communication and interpersonal skills required. - Must be a team player. - Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner. - CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support. - CSTS-09, and H2S Awareness training is an asset. - Successful candidates are required to have personal reliable transportation, valid driver’s license (non GDL) and must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. - Candidates must successfully complete orientation. - May be subject to Criminal Record checks depending on site requirements. Scraper Operator   Sureway Construction offers a fantastic opportunity to join a leading team in the construction industry. We offer a friendly, fast paced environment with plenty of room for career advancement, great benefits, and a strong team of professionals.   Sureway Construction Group of Companies is currently hiring Scraper Operators for our project in Calgary, Ab.   This position is not a camp or LOA position. Must be willing to relocate or have own lodging for this project based position.   Description: Reporting to the foreman, the job of the Scraper Operator is to safely and effectively use the Scraper to grade terrain or remove, dump, or spread earth and rock to achieve a specified result.   Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Scraper Operator include, but are not limited to: - Operate the Scraper in a safe and appropriate manner, - Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. - Understand, interpret and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area. - Operate scraper controls to regulate the height of the blade and bowl to shape and contour the site. - Feel levers and listen to equipment sounds to determine depth of the cut. - Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance. - Operate the Scraper in successive passes over construction surface to raise or lower terrain to specified grade, following markings on grade stakes or hand signals. - Perform pre and post trip inspections which requires climbing on equipment. - Ensure scraper is in proper gear, and is not moving too fast for working conditions. - Ensures proper use of the cushion hitch while operating the scraper. - Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings. - Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the dozer. - Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics. Field Operators    Catapult Solutions is a company of good, hard-working people dedicated to providing excellent service and top-quality products for its customers through leading edge technology.   Catapult Solutions is currently hiring Field Operators in North Dakota to join our team.   Description: Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the job of the Field Operator is to operate our wellsite frac sand storage systems.   Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Field Operator include, but are not limited to: - Operation of a wellsite proppant storage system. - Transloading and material management. - Hands on operation of all equipment and maintenance. - Working and traveling to various well sites, sand mines, and transloading facilities. - Mechanical understanding of equipment. - Unloading of hauling trailers. - Balancing of storage volumes and reporting. - Ability to provide the proper delivery of mix to the blender equipment. - Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required. - Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas. - Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required. - Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. - Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections. - Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
