Foreman - Earthworks Responsibilities:
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.

- Assess and confirm, through documentation, crew competency.
- Identify equipment and labor resource requirements for task and their utilization.
- Adhere to project and company environmental considerations.
- Complete daily activity reports/daily logs.
- Work with project management to schedule and coordinate work tasks.
- Coordinate with other Foremen of subcontractors as required on the jobsite.
- Coordinate with shallow utility locaters when on the jobsite and ensure the crew clearly understands where all buried utilities are.
- Submit progress reports to ensure that the project is on track with deadlines that have been set out in the contract. Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics. Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.
- Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.
- Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
- Promote safety in all activities and engage in safe work plan development, hazard assessments and mentorship with crew.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.

- Minimum five (5) years Civil or Industrial Foreman, with experience in constructing Roadways/Subdivisions.
- In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.

- Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Must have extensive knowledge of "Urban" Subdivision grading or Industrial.
- Recognizes and understands the safe operation of heavy equipment and material handling.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required.

- Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology degree/diploma considered an asset.

Surveyor Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Superintendent, the job of the Survey/Field Technologist is to conduct topographical and construction surveys. Providing accurate survey data for Quantities, engineering, mapmaking, land evaluation, construction and other purposes.
- Conduct construction survey layout with major and minor construction projects including subdivisions, aggregate pits, mining and roadways.
- Completing topographical surveys for as-builts and quantities.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and calculating earthwork quantities using Civil 3D.

- Recognizing and prioritizing urgent tasks as required, and communicating with involved parties
- Processing customer credit requests including; sending credit application and credit check requests, reviewing credit applications and credit check results, and providing recommendations
- Overseeing collection of outstanding accounts receivable including; calling customers to follow up on overdue amounts, preparing and sending monthly customer statements, processing credit card payments from customers, liaising with legal team to collect on overdue accounts

- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Foreman, with experience in water/sewer installations, subdivision servicing, roadway construction and urban renewal projects.
- In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.

- Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.

- Delivering parts to various sites around Edmonton and surrounding areas;
- Utilize proper transporting techniques such bracing, padding and/or straps to mitigate potential damage to materials;
- Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices;
- Follow routes advised by Parts Dispatcher to ensure efficiency of timely delivery of parts run;

- Understand load securement and corresponding techniques.
- Experience pulling flat bed trailers is an asset.
- Experience working with pulled pinch and goose neck hitches is an asset.
- Understanding of parts labeling systems.
- Ability to run a forklift and loader is an asset.
- Warehouse experience will be considered an asset.
- Capable of working independently, as well as, in a team environment. Adept to efficiently and effectively working unsupervised.
